Some Wisconsin bands have been lucky enough to actually crack into the Nippon market. Add Worrier -- which has deep roots in Fond du Lac and is now based in Milwaukee -- to that list.
Three years ago -- three long years ago for fans -- Milwaukee singer and songwriter Hayward Williams released his debut full-length, "Another Sailor's Dream," and drew attention locally and internationally. This week Williams launches the long-awaited follow-up with a gig at an unusual venue.
April is National Poetry Month and in honor of the spoken word OnMilwaukee.com checks in with hip-hop / rap artist and poet Melissa Czarnik. Czarnik released her first CD, "Strawberry Cadillac," last summer, and her love for Milwaukee is crystal clear throughout the 17-song collection. She performs with the Eric Mire Band on May 9 at Stonefly Brewing Co.
